Hi, I’m Arif Mulani — I engineer simulation web UIs at Synopsys, write deep-dives on JavaScript and React internals, and mentor competitive programmers. The full career timeline lives on the Experience page.
Technical Foundations
While my day-to-day focus is anchored in building scalable frontend architectures, my engineering approach was heavily shaped by rigorous algorithmic puzzle-solving which I honed through competitive programming.
Though I no longer actively participate in competitive programming contests, the discipline of optimizing for space and time complexities remains a core tenet of how I design software systems, and it’s why I hunt down every possible edge case before shipping.
After shipping features in React and JS for a while, I enjoy exploring internals of JavaScript, I write blogs about it. Gets happy whenever I get chance to use dynamic programming, graph algorithms, and other algorithmic techniques in real-world applications.
Beyond the Dev Tools
When I’m not tracing network calls or logging props:
- 🎬 Cinephile — complex narratives, deep character work, meticulous cinematography, and ofcourse, soundtracks.
- 🎮 Gamer — I chase achievements that sound impossible. Occasionally, I land them:

Three days, ~15 hours a day of arena grinding. Finished world rank 3 in the Limbo Embassy featured arena -- the reward screen is still one of my proudest screenshots.
